Outdoor Kids OT Group
All Outdoor Kids OT Groups include initial intake assessment, collaborative goal setting, private parent/caregiver consultations, parent portal access, weekly updates, progress reports, and customized weekly 90-minute group therapy sessions with peers.
To keep care accessible, we allow families to pay for services in installments of smaller monthly payments over the course of the program’s duration (usually August-May). If your family joins at the start of the school year, the monthly all-inclusive cost for our Wisconsin group therapy packages averages about $590/month. This monthly cost may be slightly higher if you join us mid-year (because there are more sessions in spring semester and fewer months over which to distribute payments.) Groups held on different weekdays may also vary slightly based on session counts due to holidays.
We are dedicated to serving as many children as possible in our nature-based therapy services. If your child needs therapy but your family cannot afford the full cost of services, please apply for a scholarship. See scholarship information below.
We offer scholarships for low-to-moderate income families through our non-profit, the Therapy in the Great Outdoors Foundation, subject to availability of funding.
We try to work closely with families to make therapy accessible and have offered scholarships to many OKOT families over the past 10 years. Please indicate this need on your application and we will get in touch to discuss the scholarship application process after your application for services is received.
We are talking with the Children’s Long-Term Support Waiver Program to create enrichment groups that would be approved for CLTS funding. If we do start these groups, they would be different from our therapy groups because CLTS does not fund therapy services. CLTS groups at OKOT would be outdoor developmental enrichment programs led by an OT assistant or graduate students. You can help us by asking your case manager about our programs, as that may help us get approval more quickly. We will update the website here when we have more information to share!
