Breahna Gillespie

OKOT Group Assistant - Berkeley and Oakland

I'm currently volunteering with the Pollinator Posse in Oakland, CA. Because of my passion for working with kids in outdoor spaces, I am grateful to be working with OKOT. My favorite thing to do outside is to catch (and release!) bumblebees. I once caught about 1000 over the course of a summer.

Brea Gillespie has had many different opportunities to work with an assortment of students. From the West Coast to East Coast and back again, she has had the opportunity to catch bumblebees and commiserate with newts, supporting folks having a wide range of needs. She is excited to continue her goal of community outreach in the East Bay Area.
