Christine Lam, OTD, OTR/L
OKOT Occupational Therapist - California branch
I’m an occupational therapist who has always found nature calming and grounding. Born and raised in the Bay Area, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Touro University Nevada.
I recently returned to the Bay Area after several years as a travel OT, with prior experience in acute care for adults and pediatric work in outpatient, school-based, and community settings. I’m excited to be a part of Outdoor Kids OT helping children build skills, confidence, and independence through playful experiences in nature!
I use a strengths-based, play-centered, and sensory-informed approach, drawing on continuing education in sensory processing, interoception, trauma-informed care, and self-regulation strategies including Zones of Regulation and the ALERT Program. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me hiking, practicing yoga, exploring cozy cafes, or planning my next adventure, most recently an eight-month journey through Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
