What to Expect with Individual Outdoor OT Services
Assessment & Treatment Planning
We start with an individualized complete OT assessment of your child’s unique strengths and challenges. This will help you figure out the “why” for their struggles..and what to do about them. You’ll talk with your therapist to develop individualized goals and a plan for your child’s therapy.
Weekly Outdoor Therapy Sessions
After assessment, we offer individual OT in semester-long packages of services. Each visit looks different, but in general, expect to meet your therapist at the park location and spend time with your child and the therapist engaging in playful activities and nature exploration. Your therapist will specifically plan sessions to be engaging and fun for your child while addressing their goals.

All Individual OT Service Packages Include:
• Initial OT Assessment (required yearly) so that we get a clear picture of your child’s current strengths and challenges.
• Collaborative Goal-Setting Session with you to review assessment results and establish goal priorities for outdoor OT sessions.
• Weekly 1-Hour Outdoor OT Sessions where your child will work 1:1 with your therapist and you to address goals.
• Weekly Documentation on Goals so that you can be sure your therapist is tracking progress effectively.
• Monthly 1:1 Parent Consultation Calls so you’ll have time to discuss your child’s needs privately with your therapist, and get answers for any questions you have.
• End-of-Session Progress Report so you’ll have therapist recommendations and clear documentation of your child’s progress on goals.
RATES for Individual Services
Our packages include all of the above elements because every single one is critical to getting great outcomes from therapy. Current rates for individual services are:
-Registration fee - $100
-Initial individual OT assessment (required yearly) - $504.
-Re-assessment (includes parent call and progress report at end of each semester) - $204.
-Visits & consult calls - $51 per 15 minutes.
Payment for Outdoor Kids OT Groups
We are a private pay therapy practice because this allows us freedom to practice in a family-centered way, offering comprehensive packages of services that would not all be reimbursable by medical health insurance.
If you have out-of-network benefits through your medical insurance, we offer superbills (paid-in-full invoices) should you wish to submit to your health insurance after services have been provided.
We allow families to pay for services in installments of smaller monthly payments over the course of the program.
We offer scholarships for low-to-moderate income families when funding is available. Please indicate this need on your application and we will get in touch to discuss the scholarship process after your application for services is received.
Some families have successfully negotiated for Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) to provide reimbursement for our services. Speak to your case manager to inquire about this option.
Fall semester runs from August to January.
Spring Semester runs from February to May.
